Melanie Hagopian has extensive experience representing both public and private sector clients. On the public side she has represented the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and municipal governments in the protection of open space, land use, environmental and redevelopment matters, creation of affordable housing, and community development projects. Melanie’s representation encompasses planning, acquisition, permitting, public bidding and title review. In the private sector, Melanie’s representation includes residential and commercial landowners, real estate developers, nonprofit organizations and financial institutions in a variety of matters including obtaining land use and real estate development approvals, obtaining zoning relief, and negotiating agreements for, and structuring the financing of, improvements required for development as well as preservation projects.
