Melanie Hagopian has in-depth, hands-on knowledge of land use and environmental law. Her decade of experience representing the interests of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Resource Conservation in the acquisition and management of wild, rural, suburban and urban land throughout the Commonwealth has enabled her to provide her clients with the benefit of her experience in land management, resource conservation, permitting, redevelopment, and the full array of regulatory requirements. Melanie stays abreast of environmental legislation, and has been involved in the process of streamlining the environmental permitting process.

Melanie’s experience encompasses issues such as: brownfields redevelopment; clean air; coastal issues; endangered species; energy efficiency; environmental health and safety; environmental issues in real estate transactions; environmental permit approvals in project development; green building; Indian law; litigation, including superfund, energy facility siting, and eminent domain; natural resources; MEPA; Title V; Chapter 61; solid and hazardous waste; stormwater; erosion; wildlife habitat; sustainability issues; water pollution; and wetlands, and waterways.
